Empty Mind-Blooming Spirit

Spring growth and color is spell binding after the chill of winter.  Hearing the birds and feeling the warmth of the sun is a welcome change.  Regardless of the season, our lives are full of activity. Nature keeps busy too, in perhaps a more sensible way.  Take notice of nature.

What happens when you ignore the caution sign to slow down but you keep your foot on the accelerator? I know; it’s not a pretty sight.  With practice we can experience ease and tranquility as routine?

babajiLet’s start with our minds. Our minds manage our bodies.  Our thoughts determine our outer experiences. Our minds need to be trained to concentrate and focus so that we can free ourselves from the excessive chaos. Yes, nature has her torrential storms which support the cycle of life – death and regeneration.  Some storms may appear as chaos, and can create pandemonium in our lives, if we allow it.  How we see ‘it’ is key.

Do you choose to see the light or the dark, the happy or the sad, the peace or the turmoil? Or neither? I’m not proposing that there is a right answer.  I am suggesting we notice how we ‘see things’ in our lives.  Looking at something slightly differently may bring a new level of peace and calm to any situation.

Mind Body Freedom with EFT

Some say the answer to many – if not all- physical, mental and emotional issues rests in our thought patterns. There is a thought-cause behind all of the symptoms and, by routine, we grasp these thought patterns. Louise Hay is well known for addressing the mental aspects of physical pain and providing positive affirmations as remedies. Her book or DVD, called You Can Heal Your Life, reveals that self-love is at the core of her teachings.

hand colored psychodelicAnother consideration to free ourselves from emotional, physical and mental pain is based on the body’s energy system. Similar to the electrical wiring in our homes, our bodies also contain an electrical system. Many healing modalities offer methods to realign the energy system to help the client get back on track with their body’s natural flow. Gary Craig, a guru of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) teaches that all negative emotion is caused by a disruption to the body’s natural energy system (visit www.emofree.com for more information).

Think of the Kaweah River during a heavy spring-time runoff when giant boulders rumble around and collide together until they block the flow of the river. The water-energy builds and builds until it busts free. EFT offers a painless and simple process for releasing the boulders from our internal energy system. It’s the tapping on pressure points near the surface of the skin while tuning into specific issues and reciting specific words that offers the cure. When done correctly the “boulders” are gently removed and dissolved. Self-acceptance is at the core of this practice.

Freedom from pain in your body comes from freedom in your mind. Reflect for a moment on your thought patterns and the potential boulders your carry in your body. Consider letting go of what no longer serves you. You may need to simply say to yourself, “I let go of the past and I forgive.”

Peace and Panic

PanicTo develop certain skills we have selected a life path to provide the climate for learning.  When decoded, your hands will link you with one or two of the following:  Service, Love, Wisdom or Peace.  Each path has their ups and downs.  Where do you fit in; service or obligation (service), connection or stuffed feelings (love), taking risks or sitting on the fence (wisdom), and lastly peace or panic (peace)?  Let’s delve into the world of Peace

The person on the life path of peace is in a peculiar predicament. The environment for their learning will consist of peace and panic; harmony and discord.  They often feel like ‘someone’ made a mistake by ‘putting’ them here, in this crazy, mixed up, convoluted place. “Is someone playing a joke on me”, they might exclaim in their excitement.  This life-path is designed to help a person develop the ability to feel safe in their own space.   This person is seeking a deep sense of calm within her/himself.  There is a tendency for addiction to adrenaline. When the rush is over there is a great sense of tranquility.  The lessons include dealing with responsibilities without creating an endless chain of ‘emergencies’.   In survival mode this student is struggling to stay ahead of the game and may see the body as the enemy.

You can look at your own finger tips to determine if you qualify for this path.  According to the International Institute of Hand Analysis you are on the life path of Peace if you find two or more finger prints with the ‘arch’ pattern:

Arch

This isn’t about eliminating the struggle and discord or always living in quietness and serenity.  We need stressors to accomplish.   All contrast helps us gain perspective.  The key is: Balance.  What’s the remedy for converting struggle to ease?

Healing in the hands

What does the word “healing” mean to you?  The Webster’s dictionary describes healing: ‘to make sound or whole; to restore to health; mend; to patch up; to restore to original purity or integrity’.

Healers facilitate and inspire others to function from a higher level.  We are all healers in our own way at one time or another…and when we choose to be.  Most of us can cite examples where we’ve been stimulated to be and feel better mentally, physically and/or spiritually because of something someone did, said or how they listened.

In the hands are various markers which identify their owners as a “healer”. Heart in Hand Doctors, nurses, veterinarians, chiropractors, psychotherapists, and dentists are mainstream healers.  Examples of alternative healers are massage therapists, Reiki masters, cranial sacral therapists, herbalogists, acupuncturists, ministers and astrologers.  Hairstylists, manicurists, teachers, musicians, photographers, chefs and jewelry makers may also qualify as healers.  However, not all “healers” by profession have healer-markers in their hands.  Likewise, some who have never considered healing as life work may have healer markings in their hands.  Read the rest of this entry »

Fingerprints: discovering the real you

Have you ever looked at the tiny ridges on the inner surface of your fingertips or thumbs (a.k.a your fingerprints)?  Take a look.

Then look at someone else’s around you. Notice how some ridges are verypeacock deep, some shallow, some almost too faint to see with the naked eye.  A magnifying glass is useful for observing the details of these ridges on the fingertips.  Investigators and forensic experts rely on fingerprinting for positive identification because it is the only unchangeable and infallible means to identify an individual.

The friction ridges found on the fingers can also be seen on the palms and soles of the feet.  The biological function of the ridges is to help us grasp and hold onto things.  We can compare the lines on corduroy cloth to the friction ridges of the fingerprint. However, unlike the corduroy, the ridges vary in length, width, depth, and direction.  Below are three types of fingerprint patterns constructed from the flow of the friction ridges.

loopThe patterns are formed during pre-natal life and fully formed in the womb between the fourth and seventh month. Fingerprints remain unchanged in their assigned detail during the life time of the individual.

Oodles of research over the past 100 years – including computers most recently – solidify evidence that the fingerprint patterns are unique to the owner of the hands. Professor Andre Moenssens, author of Fingerprint Techniques wrote “Studies done by many examiners have shown that the fingerprints of identical twins are different, as are the prints of triplets, quadruplets, and quintuplets.”

Now, consider that these fingerprints can be decoded to reveal a message about the unique you.  Similar to how the doctor looks at your tongue to give clues about your health, an experienced hand analyst can read the fingerprints on your fingers to define your life purpose and life lesson.  Read the rest of this entry »

Life Schools

Life is an everlasting experience of trial and error… if we’re lucky.  Experience is required at Earth-University!  Imagine if there are different schoolhouseschools each of us are attending, as part of our life pilgrimage.  They have the school names: Service, Love, Wisdom, and Peace.  Could each of us actually be living from a consciousness of one of these four schools?  Could the core of our soul be operating from a deeply rooted desire to advance and master one of these schools?

Would you behave differently if you realized that you are attending one of these schools?  Would you prepare for exams and drive yourself to succeed to graduate with honors? Would you procrastinate in your studies?  Would you operate with the attitude of just getting by?

The print patterns on a person’s finger tips can be read to identify the life-school that individual is attending. In 1985 Richard Unger founded the International Institute of Hand Analysis and he discovered that our fingerprints contain codes which reveal our life school.  They are summarized as follows: Read the rest of this entry »

Life Lessons

Pretend that before birth we elected to come to this beautiful, mysterious, radical, and colorful planet.  When we did, we had a series of boxes to mark before checking in at the gate with our e-ticket.  The boxes presented choices of what to experience during our journey on Earth.  I don’t know what all the options were to choose from but I bet we all picked

Lessons

busYep, you just may have signed up to become scholarly in specific areas at the life-university.   At this point are you saying “OK, already; enough learned” or “My lessons are coming at just the right pace” or “Bring it on, I want more”?  Perhaps the answer changes at various times of the year, month or day.  We’re constantly being exercised and challenged to become well-informed, well-read, well educated and wise on this life-path.    Read the rest of this entry »
